Catherine P. (McGoff) Nerbonne, 80, of New Bedford died Monday July 2, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Raymond D. Nerbonne.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Leo F. and Fannie (McMaster) McGoff, she lived in New Bedford most of her life and wintered in Florida for the past 10 years.
Mrs. Nerbonne was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
Survivors include her husband; three children, Lori Healy and her husband Brad of New Bedford, Robert Nerbonne and his wife Allana of Cumberland, RI, and Sharon Buckley and her husband Donald of Lynnfield; a brother, Leo McGoff, Jr. of California; seven grandchildren, Annemarie Shaffer, Dawn Buckley, Donald Buckley Jr., Kelley Buckley, Sherri Nerbonne, Michael Vaughan, and Maeghan Healy; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was the sister of the late Edith Perry, Barbara Dlouhy, and Louise McGoff.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
