Linda M. (Merryman) Irving, 49 of Attleboro died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island. She was the wife of Herbert P. Irving for the past 10 years.
Born in Danvers on May 28, 1958, she was the daughter of Sylvia (Fortier) Merryman of Bellingham and the late Donald Merryman. A resident of Attleboro for the past 7 years, she had formerly resided in North Attleboro and Bellingham.
Linda was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 15 years in the Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro and Plainville Post Offices. She had previously worked for RIGHA in the medical records office.
She had a love for the outdoors and nature and enjoyed gardening. She also loved to travel with her husband, especially to Bar Harbor, Maine. She was an avid supporter of the Best Friends Animal Society and Shelter in Kanab, Utah.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by; her step-daughter, Nicole Irving of Middleboro, her step-son, Jason Irving of Pawtucket, RI, a brother, Charles Rowe of Freeport, ME and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday, July 7 at 1 p.m. in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway.
Burial will take place privately in Freeport, Maine at a later date.
