Obituary

East Bridgewater - Dana V. (Anderson) Perkins, 89, of East Bridgewater, died Sunday, July 1, 2007, at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Alfred R. Perkins.

Born Feb. 25, 1918, in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Karl V. and Emma (Steele) Anderson.

Raised and educated in Brockton, she was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1936. She also attended Williams School of Business in Brockton.

Mrs. Perkins was a pipe organist for 60 years and played the pipe organ at 16 various churches in Brockton, including from 1936-1941 at the Brockton Swedish Congregational Church in Brockton.

She was also a concert pianist and homemaker.

Mrs. Perkins worked as a bookkeeper for Fraiser Dry Goods in Brockton.

She had been an East Bridgewater resident for 61 years.

She was the wife of Alfred R.; mother of Wallace Perkins of Wilbraham, MA, and Harrison, ME, Diane B. Weinberg of Chelmsford and Susan C. Holbrook of East Bridgewater. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at Elmwood Church at a later date. Arrangements by the Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater.
