Mr. Plemon Troup, 80, of Fitzgerald, died Saturday, June 30, 2007 at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 4 P.M. Monday, July 2, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Harris Johnson and Rev. Cecil Burkett officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Sunday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Troup was born September 1, 1926 in Irwin County, to the late Jake and Alder Troup. He lived in the area most of his life. Mr. Troup was a Plumber with Roanoke Construction Company for 38 years until his retirement. During his retirement he worked part-time for Ben Hill County for 4 years. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years , Elizabeth Troup of Fitzgerald; Children, Sammy & Dolores Troup of Greensboro ,NC, Larry & Earlene Troupe of Fitzgerald ; Kathleen & John Cook of Fitzgerald, Shannon & Burt Bynum also of Fitzgerald; 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grand-Children. He is also survived by 1 sister, Ollie Love of Mystic. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Ed Troup.
