Maria Arruda, Age 89 of 9 Shay Ave., Somerset formerly of Barnaby St., Fall River passed away in Fall River June 30, 2007. She was widow of Jose F. Arruda & daughter of the late Jose & Conceicao (Raposo) Sousa Bispo. She was born in Ariffes, Sao Miguel,Azores & a Somerset resident since 2004. She was a retired floor girl at Rochelle Apparel, a member of the ILGWU and a parishioner of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by four children: Manuel F. Arruda of Fall River, Domingos Arruda of AZ, Deodato Arruda & Maria Pereira both of Somerset. One sister: Deolinda Bispo of Sao Miguel, Azores. Ten grandchildren, ten great Grandchildren & several nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Jose, Manuel, Antone, Joao & Dorvalina Bispo.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Tuesday at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St. at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-8 P.M.
