Mrs. Marie Bernice (Morris) Eaves, 85, of Chesapeake, VA & formerly of Boston & Hartford, CT entered into eternal rest on June 28, 2007 in Norfolk, VA. She was the beloved wife of the late Rabbi Jehu R. Eaves who passed away in 1993 & the mother of the late Larry S. Eaves.
Mrs. Eaves was born in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of the late Joseph & Lillian (Paige) Morris. She worked for many years as a social worker with the Foster Grandparents program in Boston.
She is survived by her children, Delores Eaves-Thompson of Portsmouth, VA, Dorcas Eaves of Laguna Hills, CA, G. Lorraine Eaves-Shull of England, Cecilia Eaves-Walker of Virginia Beach, VA, Jehu R. Eaves of Bridgewater, Jacquelynn Eaves-Lee of Portsmouth, VA, Howard Eaves of Irvine, CA, Jonathan Eaves of Virginia Beach, VA, & Josiah Eaves of Upper Marlboro, MD, & E. Joseph Eaves of Israel; 36 grandchildren, & 38 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Eaves was the sister of Ruth Thomas of NJ, Dorcas Stieff & David Morris of PA, & the late John & Daniel Morris.
Funeral service in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA on Monday, July 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Adath Jeshrun Cemetery, Grove St. West Roxbury.
