Walter J. Jasie, Jr., 65, died Thursday June 28 at Caritas Good Samaritan after a short illness. Born in Boston he was a graduate of Dorchester Schools. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Era. Mr. Jasie worked for the MBTA as a trolley repairman for over 25 years retiring in 1993. He then worked for several years at Mills Fingerprinting Agency in Boston as a private investigator. He retired at age 59. He was a resident of Melrose for the past 13 years previously living in Stoughton for over 20 years and Dorchester for over 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion in Stoughton, the National Rifle Association and various area gun clubs. In his free time he enjoyed politics, target shooting, cigars and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children; Sean P. Jasie and his wife Jessie of Braintree, Denise M. McMullen and her husband Shawn of Brockton, and Eric W. Jasie and his wife Maureen of Pembroke. He was the brother of Douglas Jasie of FL. He was the grandfather of Courtney and Jessie McMullen and Katherine Jasie. He is also survived by his former wife Ann T. (Doherty).
