BILLERICA - Beatrice M. (James) Peverill, R.N., a well know lifelong resident of Billerica, died Friday Nov. 29, after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Robert D. Peverill, who died in 1992
She was born and raised in Tewksbury, a daughter of the late George K. and Sadie (Berry) James. She graduated Tewksbury High School and graduated the Concord (NH) State Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.She was employed by St. John's Hospital, now Saint's Memorial, for more than 30 years.
She was active as a vacation traveler throughout her life, and had vacationed in Hawaii more than 20 times. She also enjoyed her summer retirement in Maine.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James D. and his wife Nancy (Gurich) Peverill of Billerica, two daughters and a son-in-law, Bobbea and her husband Earl Wilcher of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and Jackie MacLatchy of Pepperell, four grandchildren, Richard MacLatchy of Merrimack, NH, Jennifer Gray of Hudson, NH, Shane Wilcher of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Crystal Peverill of Billerica, and two great grandchildren, Lisa Gray of Hudson, NH, and Abigail MacLatchy of Merrimack, NH.
Her funeral was held Tuesday, Dec. 3. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Tewksbury Senior Center- Building Fund - 175 Chandler St. Tewksbury, MA 01876 will be appreciated.
