Funeral service in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 12 noon. Burial with military honors in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8 pm.
Obituary
William J. Jasperson 75 years of Brockton died Monday morning at his home under the care of hospice. He was the husband for 19 years of Diane L. (Crocker) Jasperson.
Mr. Jasperson was born in Boston a son of the late Peter and Mary (King) Jasperson. He was raised and educated in Roxbury.
During the Korean Conflict he served in the US Marine Corps and was stationed in Japan. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Ribbon and the United Nations Service Ribbon.
Mr. Jasperson had been employed as a rigger at the Quincy Shipyard, a supervisor at United Shoe and Machinery in Whitman and a keypunch operator for Ark-less Corp. in Stoughton from which he retired 5 years ago.
He enjoyed jet skis, yard work and playing Pogo and internet games on the computer.
He had been a member of the DAV Association.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his five children David Jasperson of Bristol, NH; Paul McLaughlin of Whitman; Lille Mann of Brockton; Thomas McLaughlin of Everett and Dwayne King of Brockton, 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Robert, Joseph, Peter, Tom, George, John and David Jasperson, Mary O’Sullivan, Hellen Cucchaka, Irene McLaughlin and Teresa Jasperson.
