Bruce H. Nickerson - Age 77, of Orford, NH formerly of Thetford Center, VT and Weston, MA died June 20 at home after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan M. Nickerson and the dear father of Susan Hewitt and her husband Alan of Lyme, NH, Caroline Lovejoy and her husband Carl of Orford, NH, Laurence Nickerson and his wife Michelle of Weston, Tracey Herbert and her husband Christopher of Lexington, Sally Jarrett and her husband Ian of Weston, and Andrew Nickerson of San Diego, CA. He also leaves 17 grandchildren.
He was a graduate of Newton High School, Class of 1947 and served in the U.S. Army from 1947 until 1949, being awarded a Commendation Ribbon for Meritorious Service. He was the founder and president of Woodline Contracting Inc. and a past president of the Rotary Club of Weston . Well-known in the Boston area as a builder and craftsman, he cherished his retirement years on the slopes and in the fields of Vermont and New Hampshire alongside his family and friends.
Memorial Service to be held on Friday, June 29 at 2 PM at The First Parish Church in Weston. Family and friends kindly invited.
