Therese B. (Benoit) Aubin, 81 formerly of 60 School St. Slatersville, died Tuesday in Bayberry Commons in Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Hector W. Aubin. Mrs. Aubin was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Oliver and Blanche (Lambert) Benoit. She was employed at the Sadwin Manufacturing Co. in Woonsocket for twenty years, retiring in September of 1993 as office manager. She was a past President of the Woonsocket Business and Professional Womens Club. In 1973, she received the North Smithfield Senior Citizens, Woman of the Year Award.
Mrs. Aubin is survived by a daughter Jane Lashley of Lithia Springs, GA., two grandsons James Lashley of TN and Jonathan Lashley of GA. and three sisters Dorothy Durocher of Mendon MA, Doris Fortunati of N. Smithfield and Lucille Lemme of Pascoag. She was also the companion of the late Charles H. Davis.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 am. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. in St. Joseph’s Church Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to the Alzheimers Association, RI Chapter, 245 Waterman St., Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906 would be appreciated. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-7 pm.
