Nugent, Frederick G., age 90 of Quincy June 20, 2007.
Beloved husband of Rita M. (Kernan) Nugent of Quincy. Devoted father of Carol A. Gauthier of Quincy and Robert W. Nugent of Weymouth. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Susan, Diane, Erik, Kelly. Great grandfather of Kylee. Loving brother of the late Edward, Francis, Paul, Daniel, Rev. Irwin Nugent, M.M., Rev. Robert Nugent, and Marion Walsh. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Monday at 9 AM.
Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10:00 AM.
Visiting hours Sunday 6 - 8 PM.
Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.

Fred was a retired Postal employee and an Army Air corps veteran of World War II.
Born and raised in Neponset, he graduated from Dorchester High School then joined the Civil Conservation Corps. He then enlisted and served in the Air Corps, where he was severely burned during a combat mission in New Guinea.
Returning to Boston he worked for the Railway Mails System which was incorporated into the U.S. Postal System. He retired in 1980.
He married his wife, Rita, of sixty years, in Dorchester, they then moved to Quincy/Wollaston in 1955. He was an avid golfer and Red Sox fan and enjoyed telling family and friends of his many stories. He was also a skilled bowler and member of a bowling league.
