Joan B. Manning, passed away on Wednesday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford after a valiant struggle of 19 years with breast cancer. The wife of Ray D. Manning she was 67 years old.
Born and raised in Somerville she was the daughter of the late Lillian (Gerrior) and John J. Feeney. Joan worked for many years as a programmer for AT & T retiring in 1992. She and her husband Ray settled in Malden after their marriage and have been residents for forty-two years.
Surviving in addition to her husband Ray. Are two daughters Mary-Beth Manning, Krissy Welch and her husband Eric all of California. Three sisters; Claire Benouin of Utah, Tery Fitzgerald of Brewster and Bernice Feeney of Malden. Two brothers Paul Feeney of Jamaica Plain and George Feeney of New York. She was predeceased by three sisters Ann Kelly, Mary and Florence Feeney. Five brothers; John, James, Herb, Larry, Bernie and Elroy Feeney. She was the cherished sister in law of Rev. Robert E. Manning S.J.and Denise and Henry McAulliffe of North Reading. Also surrvived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral home 306 Main St. Medford on Monday, December 2, at 10 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church 600 Pleasant St. Malden at 11. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
