Marilyn D. Todesco, 58

Marilyn D. (Forsythe) Todesco, 58, of Norton died on Tuesday June 19, 2007 at home surrounded by the loving care of her family. She was the beloved wife of James Todesco to whom she was wed to on July 5, 1972.
Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on May 14, 1949 she was a dear daughter of the late Sidney A. and Joyce (Speilberger) Forsythe.
She grew up and was educated in Norton. She was a 1967 graduate of Norton High School. Mrs. Todesco had worked as an Administrative Assistant of the Foreign Language Department at Wheaton College for the past 20 years.
Marilyn was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield. She was a member of the first response team in the advent of a natural disaster occurring in Norton. In 1992 she organized the first bonfire rally for the Norton School Department to lift the spirits of students for the annual Thanksgiving Day football game.
Mrs. Todesco enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and Atlantic City. She cherished the times spent with her loving family, especially with her granddaughter and had anticipated the birth of her first grandson Adam in August. An animal lover she enjoyed raising and caring for her golden retrievers Annie and Scratchy.
Marilyn had lived in Norton for most of her life and had also resided in Mansfield and Falmouth.
In addition to her beloved husband of nearly 35 years she is survived by her devoted sons; Matthew Todesco and his wife Danielle of Norton and Robert M. Todesco and his fiancée Tracey Brown of Mansfield. Her Brothers Bruce D. Forsythe of Providence, Rhode Island and Norman L. Forsythe of Norton. She was the loving Noni of Haley Marilyn Todesco of Norton. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday June 23rd at 7:45 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday June 22nd from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers Marilyn’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to HOSPICE, Community Visiting Nurse Agency, Inc. 10 Emory St. Attleboro, MA 02703.
