Obituary

Alan C. Therien, 52, of Derry, NH died June 19, 2007 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry. He was born in Melrose, MA, a son of the late Alcide Therrien and Ann (Anderson) Therrien. A resident of Derry for most of his life, Alan attended Pinkerton Academy and joined the Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam. Following his return from active duty, he joined the family rock crushing business and was a self-employed truck driver for the past several years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and also restoring antique motorcycles. Alan was known as a friend to many.

He is survived by his fiancée’, Lori DeRienzo of Derry; a daughter Tia A. Therien of Manchester; a son, Todd Therien of Derry; three grandchildren, Hailey Blackman, Grace Blackman and William Shield; his mother, Ann Therrien of Derry; two brothers, Andrew Therrien of Londonderry and Michael Therrien of Derry; and also by three nieces.

Calling hours were on Friday, June 22nd from 6 to 8 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral ceremony was held on Saturday at 10 AM in the funeral home. Cremation followed. Urn burial was in the Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry, NH on Tuesday.
