Claudia Dubois, 92, of 372 Beech St., Manchester, died November 28, 2002, at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home, after a brief illness.
Born in Somersworth, NH, July 6, 1910, she was the daughter of Alphonse and Mary Jane (Stebbins) Dubois. She lived for a time in Canada and had been a Manchester resident most of her life.
She and her husband, the late Arthur Dubois, who died in 1977, owned and operated the Dix Street Market for more than 32 years.
A longtime communicant of St. Augustin Church, she volunteered extensively both in the church and at bingo.
She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis.
Family members include 2 daughters, Ida Vallee of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Mrs. Stanley (Jeanne) Jaskolka Jr., of Manchester; a son, Dr. D. Ralph Dubois of Wheaton, MD; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 half sisters, Yvette Boulanger, and Simonne Boulanger, both of Windsor, Que.; a half brother, Rene Lacroix, of Montreal, Que.; many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday December 2, 2002 in St. Augustin Church. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.
