Mrs. Jimmie Jackson, 88, died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, June 19, at Ocilla Baptist Church with the Rev. David Biggers officiating. Interment will follow in the Ocilla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Monday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Jackson was born October 1, 1918 in Henry County to the late Walter Andrew and Leamon Mae McCoy Wilder. She was a loving mother and grandmother and lived in the community most of her life. She was member of Ocilla Baptist Church where she was an avid member of the WMU and the Hannah-Lydian Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her children and their spouses: Jean Carolyn and Tommy Young, Osierfield, Linda and James Smith, Sycamore, Donnie and Aurora Jackson, Ocilla, and Debbie and LaVon During of Ocilla; 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.T. Jackson, a son, Wayne Tucker Jackson and one brother and one sister.
