Mrs. Mary Dean Taylor, age 95, passed away in Bolivar, TN at the Bolivar General Hospital on Tuesday, June 12, 2007. The daughter of the late John Miller, Beulah Crockett Miller and stepdaughter of the late Lullar Taylor she was a domestic worker.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 16, 2007 from 11:00 AM untill service time of 12:00 Noon at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Water Valley, MS.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by two daughters, Bobbie Avant and Delorise Turner both of Bolivar, TN; three grandchildren; Patricia Pate (Ronald) of Stockton, CA, Danny Avant (Eva) of Sierra Vista, AZ and Ray Avant (Shirley) of Water Valley, Ms; four great-grandchildren: Damien, Shalanda, Whitney and Shelby; four great-great-grandchildren: Dontea, Dominic, Kalin and Josiah: four step-daughters: Helen Patterson of Detroit, MI, CarrieTaylor of Water Valley, MS, Sadie Donnell of Jackson, TN amd Mary Zeigler of Warren, OH; and three step-sons: Joe Taylor of Adairville, KY, Dean Taylor of Jackson, TN and Fred Taylor, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Taylor, Sr; one sister, Lucille Miller and two brothers, Charlie Miller and Lawrence Miller.
