DARTMOUTH — Patricia Anne Tansey, 60, of North Dartmouth, died suddenly at home on Saturday, June 9, 2007. She was the loving daughter of Irene C. (Fontaine) Tansey and the late Thomas E. Tansey.
Born in New Bedford, she attended and graduated from Dartmouth High School, Class of 1965, where she excelled in her studies and played violin and trombone with the school band. She went on to graduate from Nasson College with a B.A. in History.
Besides her mother, survivors include a sister, Maureen Joan Fanning of Norwell, MA, and a brother, Thomas A. Tansey of Ashburn, VA.
A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, June 13, at 11 A.M. at the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Market Ministries Program/Soup Kitchen, c/o Pilgrim Church, 634 Purchase St., New Bedford, MA 02740.
