Barbara J. Simoneau, 60, of Dunbarton, NH died June 10, 2007 at the Hospice House in Concord, NH. She was born in Lowell, MA on August 26, 1946, the daughter of Arthur Perron. Raised in Lowell, she was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Lowell with the class of 1965. Prior to relocating to Dunbarton five years ago, she was a Londonderry, NH resident for 26 years. Barbara was a stay at home mom for many years and later served as the office manger and bookkeeper at the Merrill & Broderick Law Firm, as well as several other firms in Manchester. She currently was employed as a bookkeeper at Sanborn Head & Associates of Concord, NH. Always devoted to her family, she made sure to set aside time to baby-sit her grandchildren. She was a former member and past president of the Legal Administrators Association of NH. Mrs. Simoneau was actively involved in the “Making Strides for Breast Cancer Association” in Manchester and had served as chairperson for the group. She loved to travel and was an avid Patriots fan, and also was a member of the “Bunco Squad” of Londonderry.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Paul E. Simoneau of Dunbarton; a son, Paul A. Simoneau and his wife Jennifer of Amherst, NH; a daughter, Pam Desjardins and her husband Ron of Salem, NH; four grandchildren, Monique Simoneau, Alec Simoneau, Chloe Desjardins and Evan Desjardins; a brother Arthur Perron and his wife Rita of Pelham, NH; and cousins, including Pauline Wagner of Dracut, MA and Lorraine Dubuque of Lowell, MA.
Calling hours were held on Tuesday, June 12th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry.
