KIRKPATRICK, R. Eleanor (nee) Hatchett age 100 of Ridgewood died June 6, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Clifford M. Kirkpatrick. Devoted stepmother of Juanita Brooks. Dear aunt of Sandra and Jocelyn. Loving step grandmother of Derek Brooks and Dina Anderson. Cherished step great grand mother of Diamond and Miles Anderson. Mrs. Kirkpatrick graduated from Ridgewood High School, attended Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and received her Masters Degree from Columbia Teachers College. She was an Elementary School teacher for the Hackensack Board of Education and was a member of the National Educators Association. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was the First Lady of the Metropolitan AME Zion Church and was active in numerous activities in a leadership capacity. Friends and family will be received from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the Metropolitan AME Zion Church, 259 S. Broad Street, Ridgewood. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following at 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Memorial Park, Fairlawn.
