Anita F. (Brito) Barros, 76, died Friday, June 8 at the Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton after long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late John E. Barros. Born in Providence, RI, she was raised in Canton and a graduate of Canton Schools. Mrs. Barros worked as a Factory Worker at AGM in Canton for many years and also at Plymouth Rubber in Canton for many years. She retired several years ago. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Diane L. Barros of Stoughton and Michael A. Barros and his wife Valarie of Randolph. She was predeceased by 1 brother and 3 sisters. Mrs. Barros is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday evening, June 12 at 8 PM. Visiting Hours prior to service from 5-8 PM. Donations in Anita’s name may be made to St. Luke’s Hospital, 101 Page Street, New Bedford, MA 02740. Burial will be private.
