Obituary

Mr. John A. Aceto, age 70, of Woburn formerly of East Boston, died June 8th at the Youville Hospital in Cambridge following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Bernice (Rosen) Aceto. Born in Boston he was the son of the late Antonio and Lena (Mascis) Aceto.

Mr Aceto was a retired barber and was the owner and operator of Mr. Johns Barber Shop in Melrose where he worked for over thrity years. Mostly devoted to his family, he enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed bowling, traveling and the occasional trip to Foxwoods Casino. Mr. Aceto was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Malden´s VFW post 639. Memorial cvontributions may be made in John´s memory to the National Kidney Foundation of MA, 85 Astor Ave, suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Aceto is survived by his children, Denise Graffeo and her husband Dean of Tewksbury, Michael Aceto and his wife Linsley of Cape Neddeck, ME. He is also survivedby his loving grandchildren, Garrett Aceto, Courtney, Stephanie, and Derek Graffeo. He is further survived by his siblings, Beatrice Dantona of Wakefield, Frank Aceto of Woburn, Louis Aceto of Somerville and Cecilia Mazzone of Tewksbury.

His funeral will be held from the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Tuesday, June 12th, at 9 a.m. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church 280 Main St. Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
