Obituary

DRACUT - Edward F. Aggott, 53, a Dracut resident, passed away Friday, June 8th after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Joan L. (Beattie) Aggott to whom he was married for twenty five years.

He was born in Brookline on August 4, 1953, the son of the late Richard and Ruth (Romaine) Aggott. He received his education through the Tewksbury school system and was a graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School's Class of 1971. He was also a graduate of the Pipefitters Union Local 537 Journeyman School.

Prior to his illness, Mr. Aggott was employed for fourteen years as an HVAC technician by Seaboard Mechanical. He was a member of the Pipefitters Union Local 537 in Boston for 35 years, as well as a member of the R.S.E.S. Refrigeration Society.

In his free time he was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four daughters, Elizabeth A. Aggott, Jill K. Aggott, Brittany J. Aggott, and Brooke A. Aggott, all of Dracut; a brother Richard Aggott of Port St. Lucie, FL and two sisters, Janine (Aggott) Fulena and her husband John of Stratford, CT and Christine Aggott of New Ipswich, NH; his father-in-law Thomas B. Beattie of Dracut; three sisters-in-law, Pattie Watkins and her husband Bill of Dracut, Judy Harris and her husband Joe of FL and Denise Aggott of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also the son-in-law of the late Dorothy Beattie.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Sunday from 1 until 5 p.m. His Funeral will begin at the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. William in Tewksbury. Burial in Tewksbury Cemetery.
