New York, NY/Jamaica Plain, MA—Regina Madeleine Aganoor, 93, died Monday, June 4, 2007. She was born in Iran, daughter of Leo and Sophia (Joseph) Aganoor. She lived in New York City for most of her adult life where she belonged and volunteered at St. Vartan’s Cathedral and volunteered at Bellevue Hospital. She had a passion for art. Regina is survived by 2 sisters, Lena Sarkissian of Watertown, MA and Roslyn Aganoor of NYC; 2 nieces, Susan Bagdasarian of Trumbull, CT and Sofia Gough of Wheaton, IL; a nephew, Leo Sarkissian of Waltham, MA; several grandnieces and grandnephews; and a great-grandniece.
Funeral services Wednesday, June 6, at 11:00 a.m. in the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
