Mather of Brockton November 22, 2002 Bernice M. Mather. Sister of George M. “Mitch” Mather of Couer d’Alene, Idaho; Fred T. “Fliver” Mather, Sr. of Avon ; Jeannette M. (Mather) Axsom of Brockton; George T. “Young” Mather of Couer d’Alene, Idaho and the late Philip F. Mather.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 9 am. The Service of the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church, 343 North Main Street, Brockton at 10 am. The Rev. Tanios Akoury will officiate. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm with Service of Incense at 6 pm. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Bernice’s memory may be made to St. Theresa’s Church.

Obituary

Miss Mather died Friday afternoon at her home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She was born in Brockton daughter of the late Thomas G. and Mary A. (Humsey) Mather and remained a lifelong resident. For the past 21 years she has been a resident of Sullivan Towers.

Miss Mather retired from the Cardinal Cushing General Hospital in Brockton having worked in the cafeteria for many years. Previously she worked in the former Dartmouth Shoe Company.She enjoyed cooking, knitting and crocheting.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lebanon American National Club. Miss Mather was a lifelong communicant of St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society.

She is survived by 1 sister and 3 brothers as aboveAlso many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephewsShe was the sister of the late Philip Mather
