Obituary

Maurice F. Hurley of Dedham died June 2, 2007 at his home. He was 83. He was the beloved husband of Ruth Ann (Healy) Hurley for 53 years.

Mr. Hurley was born in East Boston and has been a longtime Dedham resident. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Hurley was a Dedham High School Teacher for 30 years. He was the Past Grand Knight of the Dedham Knights of Columbus # 34 and a member of the Bishop Minehan 4th Degree.

He was the brother in law of Barbara Walsh of Dedham and Joan Logan of Ipswich and their families. He was the uncle of Elinor Reynolds of Middleton, Lorraine Drury of North Dighton and Elaine Knochel of Easton and their families.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Tuesday at 8:00 AM. Funeral mass in St. Denis Church, Westwood, at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Monday from 4-8 PM. Interment Brookdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Maurice’s memory may be made to St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Westwood, MA 02090.
