Obituary

Adam John Kasiecki, of Medford, died Thursday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was 97.

Mr. Kasiecki was born in Chelsea, the son of the late Joseph and the late Annie (Alise) Kasiecki.
Until his retirement, Adam worked as a mechanical engineer and machinist and was known as the “wizard” for his ability to invent, design, and execute almost any type of project assigned to him. When World War II broke out and Adam was ready to enlist, he was stopped by his supervisors because his engineering skills were critical for the war effort. He was involved in aviation design with Howard Hughes during the war. He also worked under Commander Brady of the Navy and developed a device used to separate blood particles for the medical treatment of wounded servicemen. His machine was later redesigned for a more modern way of milk pasteurization. His work during the war earned him the Navy E.

He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Costa) Kasiecki, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Phyllis and her husband John Huse, Karen Kasiecki, and Janice Kasiecki. He was a loving grandfather to Brian Huse, his wife Amelia and to Kimberly Huse. He was the dear brother of Billy and Teddy Kasiecki, the late Irene Sador, Stanley, Timmy, and Walter Kasiecki.
