Obituary

NASHUA, NH—Blanche (Deveau) (Donovan) Keefe, 84 years old, wife of James T. Keefe, Jr., a resident of Nashua, formerly of Lowell, died Friday morning, June 1st, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, after a short illness. She was the wife of James T. Keefe, Jr., who survives her.

She was born in Lynn, on June 4, 1922, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Deveau, and graduated from Lynn Classical High School.

Mrs. Keefe has resided in Nashua for the past 28 years and also wintered in Florida for many years. She was a retired employee of Gillette, in Boston. More recently, she was an active volunteer for the Alcohol Awareness Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH.

Surviving her are her three daughters: Betsy Noyes, of Lynn; Kathy Donovan, of Nashua, NH; and Jane Donovan, of North Carolina; three step-children: James T. Keefe, III, of Nashua, NH; Ellen Johnston, of Lowell; Raymond Keefe, of Hollis, NH; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was the grandmother of the late Ali Sayani.

Friends may call from 12 to 5 PM on Sunday, June 3rd at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38), Lowell. Her Funeral Mass to be offered on Monday, June 4th, at 9 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Macular Degeneration Foundation, Inc.; P.O. Box 531313; Henderson, NV 89053.
