Andrew W. Nickerson, 91, died at West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton on Monday, May 28 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Grace D. (LeTourneau) Nickerson. Born in Boston, he was a lifelong resident of Stoughton and a graduate of Stoughton High School. Mr. Nickerson was a machinist at F.C. Phillips in Stoughton for over 50 years before retiring over 20 years ago.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Nickerson is survived by his son, Edward S. Buchanan of Brockton, his granddaughters, Mary E. Buchanan of Brockton and Jacqueline Bryan of Rye, NH and his great-grandchildren, Cory, Kasey, Collin and Michael. He was the brother of the late Clarence Nickerson and Marjorie Douglass.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, June 2 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 6-8 PM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.
