
Canada-Lionel Joseph Poulin, 87, of Quebec City, died Friday, February 23, 2007.
Lionel was the son of the late Honorius “Henry” and Odilda (Boutin) Poulin. He was born in Canada on February 13, 1936. As an infant he moved to Laconia where he was raised and schooled, graduating from Sacred Heart School. Lionel then went onto Junior College in Canada. Prior to his retirement he was a school teacher in Quebec for many years, and also taught in several schools throughout Boston.
Lionel is predeceased by two sisters; Jeanne D’Arc Boucher, and Violette Haskell.
Lionel is survived by his wife Therese (Rochette) Poulin of Canada; his adopted son, Stephen Boucher and his wife Donna of Blackstone, MA; his brother, Benoit Poulin and his wife Rolande of Nashua and Moultonboro, NH; a brother-in-law, Allen Haskell of Laconia, and Florida . Numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive Lionel in Quebec, and the United States.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday June 2, 2007 at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue Laconia at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Adrien R. Longchamps pastor of the church celebrated the mass. Burial followed in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia. There were no visiting hours.
