Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Velta E. (Misins) Kariores, 57, formerly of Beverly, died unexpectedly at her residence on Monday morning, May 21, 2007. She was the wife of the late Christopher Kariores, who died in July of 1978.
Born in Germany on June 13, 1949, she was the daughter of Elsa (Gobzemis) Pooler of Beverly and the late Talevalda Misins. She lived in Beverly from her early childhood and had attended Beverly public schools. She had been a resident of Gloucester since 1980. She was devoted to her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by seven children, Christopher, Jr., husband of Lisa A. Kariores, Wendy, wife of Richard A. Crear, Jr., Daniel Kariores, Michael Kariores, Lisa Kariores, fiancée of Bryan Aiello, Peter G. Ryan, Jr. all of Gloucester and Christine E. Trzcinski of St. Cloud, FL, thirteen grandchildren, Alyssa and Katerina Kariores, Danielle E. Crear, Joshua and Kyle Kariores, Natalie, Ashlee and Lily Aiello, Travis, Chantelle and Brent Dashnow, Kaitlyn Robare and Cameron Trzcinski, a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Robert Grzybinski of Gloucester, two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Paulette Misins of Beverly, William and Diane Pooler of Ft. Myers, FL and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her stepfather, Paul Pooler, and two brothers, John Pooler and Paul Pooler.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9 – 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family c/o Wendy Crear, 13 Green St., Gloucester, MA 01930. Interment will be held in the North Beverly Cemetery.
