Obituary

SPENCER____Carol Jean Talbot, 65, of Spencer, died Thursday May 17 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.

She leaves a son, William R. Talbot of Worcester; two sisters, Diane Roderick of Baltimore, MD., and Patricia Kirk of Florida. She was born in Springfield, a daughter of Raymond J. and Julie E. (Ogden) Talbot and then lived in Portland, Maine. She has lived in Spencer for 25 years.

Carol was a pre school teacher for 10 years for UMASS Memorial Child Care, Worcester. She devoted all her life to child care. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Worcester and was a Eucharistic minister there as well as a parish volunteer and First Communion Coordinator. She was a member and Board Director for Edward Street Day Care, Worcester and was a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Carol graduated with a degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

The funeral will be held on Friday May 25 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, Worcester with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday May 24 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
