Catherine M. (Stefaney) Quinn a resident of Newton Highlands for more than 60 years, died Sun May 20, 2007 at her home. She was 96.
Born in Roxbury she attended Chevrus Commercial School and worked for C F Hovey’s in Boston and for Dr. Carleton Percy MD in Kenmore Square. She was a longtime member of the Guild of St. Francis at Sacred Heart Church in Newton Centre, the Newton Centre Garden Club, the Ikebana International, and was an avid golfer and member of the Inner Club at Leo J. Martin Golf Course in Weston.
Wife of the late John P. Quinn Jr. and mother of the late John P. Quinn III, she is survived by her children Patricia Quinn Dunlea, Catherine M. Quinn and Kevin R. Quinn all of Newton Highlands, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thurs May 24 at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Newton Centre. A visiting hour will be held in the church prior to the mass from 9 AM until 10 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Needham.
