Obituary

John J. Kenny, 57 of Worcester formerly of Medway died May 19 in his home.
Born in Boston, February 27, 1950 the son of the late James J. and Joyce (Romans) Kenny, Mr. Kenny was raised in Medway and had lived in Worcester for the past 10 years.
He was a 1968 graduate of Medway High School.
At Medway High School, he was tri-captain of the Football team, played on the Basketball team and was also on the Track team.
Mr. Kenny had been a furniture mover for Global Vans Lines for several years until disability caused him to retire early.
He enjoyed restoring old cars and volunteered at the Homeless Shelter in Worcester.
He is survived by his brothers, David B. Kenny of Millbury, Francis E. Kenny, Robert J. Kenny, Donald E. Kenny, all of Milford, Paul R. Kenny of Sandwich and his sister, Patricia Gross of Milford.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Thursday May 24 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber St. Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Village Street in Medway at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Salvation Army, 72 Cambridge St. Worcester, MA 01603.
