Obituary

Worcester- Grzegorz Jachimczyk, 64, of 425 Pleasant Street, died Thursday, Nov. 14, at home.

He leaves his wife, Janina (Rogacka) Jachimczyk; a son, Witold R. Jachimczyk of Sutton; two brothers, Ludwig Jachimczyk of Worcester, and Walter Jachimczyk of Auburn; three sisters, Bronislawa Kurowwski of Worcester, Zofia Lis of Millbury, and Wanda Mlynarski of Sutton; nephews and nieces. A brother, Jan Jachimczyk, predeceased him. He was born in Poland, son of Felix and Rozalia (Ropiek) Jachimczyk, and moved here 23 years ago. He was educated in Poland, and graduated from the Military Academy in Poland.

Mr. Jachimczyk was a machine operator at Felters Company in Millbury.

He was very proud of his service as a Captain in the Polish Army.

He was proud of being both Polish and American.

Mr. Jachimczyk was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Parish and the Polish Naturalization Independent Club.

He enjoyed reading, writing, playing tennis, and was interested in history.

A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward Street, is directing arrangements.
