Worcester—Oliver B. Joyce, 83, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at UMass Memorial Hospital. He leaves his wife of almost 60 years, Charlotte A. (Osborn) Joyce and many nieces & nephews. Three brothers, Glover C., Arthur J., and Elmer L. predeceased him. He was born in Monroe, CT, son of John and Mary R. (Glover) Joyce. He was a WWII Army Veteran and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of Adams Square Baptist Church for 69 years where he served as a deacon and was a member of the Sons & Daughters of Liberty. Oliver worked for Reed & Prince, California Plant Protection and then as a bagger for Stop & Shop during his retirement.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 11:00 a.m. at Adams Square Baptist Church, 266 Lincoln St. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
