Obituary

LYNN: David P. Hatch, 65, died Thursday, May 17, 2007 in the North Shore Medical Center, Salem following a brief illness.
Born in Beverly on January 31, 1942, he was the son of the late Roy P. and Jean (Knowles) Hatch. After attending Gloucester High School, David enlisted in the U.S. Air force, where he served as an air policeman. He was honorably discharged as an Airman 2nd Class in July of 1967.
A carpenter by trade, he had many jobs throughout his life. He was most recently employed by the Town of Marblehead, where he was instrumental in maintaining all of the town public buildings. He was also once employed by the Marblehead School Department, the YMCA of Beverly and Utility Metal.
David was an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Salem and the Boy Scouts of America. An avid photographer, you could always find him taking photos of wildlife, nature scenes and especially of family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha and his children, Mary Regan and her companion, Richard Ogiba and David Hatch D’Angelo and his wife, Joyce D’Angelo, four step-daughters, Vivianne Fisk-Yergeau and her husband Mark, Frances Doucette, Rose and her husband, James Holden, Corinna and her husband, Kevin Parker, four step-sons, John “Jay” Legault, Edward Legault, Arthur and his wife, Lisa Legault and Eugene Legault, a sister, Jane and four brothers, Pete, Paul “Curt”, Donald and Stephen, seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, a very special companion, Lois Robinson and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Rose Hatch, a step-son, Roger Legault, a step-daughter, Michelle McMahon and a grandson, Paul Legault.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday in the North Beverly Cemetery, Cabot Street, (Rt. 97) Beverly at 11 A.M. Visitation will be held prior to the service in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly from 9 – 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
