Worcester- Mary E. (Bohachick) Markiewicz, 80, of Worcester, died Monday, Nov. 18, in her daughters home in Hingham, after a short illness.
Her husband, Stephen J. Markiewicz, died in 1996. She leaves a son, Robert S. Markiewicz of Newton; a daughter, Gloria A. Bittrolff of Hingham; a brother, John Bohachick of Johnstown, PA; two sisters, Anna Schiraldi of Massopequa Park, NY and Ellen Fenchak of Lutherville, MD; 2 grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, daughter of Matej and Anna (Meles) Bohachick, and lived in Worcester many years.
Mrs. Markiewicz was an assembler for many years at Parker & Harper Co., before retiring in 1987. She was also a self employed antiques dealer and collector.
She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Parish.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Nov. 21, from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home (www.worcesterfuneral.com), 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the funeral home.
