Methuen, MA – Herbert P. Kenyon, 71, died Wednesday May 9, 2007 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton, MA.
Born in Lowell, Mr. Kenyon was a former graduate of Merrimack College in North Andover where he received a business degree, and had also been a longtime resident of Methuen. For many years he had been employed with Hewlett Packard in Andover as their head of maintenance.
Herbert was a communicant of St. Monica’s Church in Methuen.
During Korea he served his country in the United States Army before being honorably discharged at wars end.
According to his family; Mr. Kenyon was an avid sports fan following the Red Sox, and Patriots. It might be said that his good buddy was his dog Roscoe.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years Bernice M. (Jalbert) Kenyon.
Two sons Robert & his wife Carrie Kenyon of Londonderry, NH, and Alan Kenyon, of Lawrence, two step-children Sharon Arsenault of Methuen, and James Arsenault of Londonderry, one sister Joan Kenyon of Kentucky, and one brother Jack and his wife Joyce Kenyon of Westford, MA, and two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will take place on Friday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery in East Chelmsford, MA.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5-9 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
