Mary Ellen (McGuinness) Johnson, of Needham, a retired employee of the treasurer’s office for the Town of Needham, died Tuesday May 8, 2007 in Worcester. She was 69.
Born in Dedham she was raised in Needham and graduated from Needham High School. She had worked in the treasure’s office for more than 14 years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her husband Lawrence W. Johnson, her children Kathy Anderson and her husband David, Mike Ricker, and Mark Ricker and his wife Jeanne, her step children Kathy Giemza, Susan Allen and Patricia Giemza, her brothers John and Robert McGuinness, 4 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church Needham on Fri may 11 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Thurs from 5-8 PM. Interment will follow at Needham Cemetery.
