Carmen J. Venezia, a long-time Medford resident and member of Local 22, died unexpectedly Friday at Melrose - Wakefield Hospital. He was 88.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Sabato and the late Margherita (Crea) Venezia.
Carmen served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He worked many years as a construction laborer with Local 22 with many of Boston's construction firms and was involved in many major projects.
The husband of the late Florence (Ward) Venezia, he leaves his devoted and loving daughter Florence V. Venezia.
A Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
