WORCESTER__ Jessie Edna Vaughn, 78, of Worcester, died Thursday May 3, in UMASS Memorial Medical Center - University Campus.
She leaves a son, Edward L. Biehn, of Worcester, with whom she made her home, a daughter, Sylvia Yunker of Black Canyon City, AZ., a sister, Geneva Elliston of Boulder, CO., and a brother, Bernard Vaughn of Longmont, CO. She was predeceased by her sister Helen and brothers Ebbert and Ober Vaughn. Jessie was born in Harlan County, KY, a daughter of Arthur and Lula Ann (Carroll) Vaughn, and was raised and lived in Boulder, CO. She retired from the Boulder Medical Center in 1988 and moved to Tucson, Arizona. She also lived in Greensboro, North Carolina and more recently in Worcester. Jessie loved orchids and enjoyed genealogy spending many years tracing her family history, as well as following national politics.
Memorial calling hours in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street are Thursday May 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Boulder, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA. 01701.
