Arlene G. (Murphy) Fischer, 83, of West Bridgewater, a retired cashier for Trucchi's Supermarkets, died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Tobey Hospital in Wareham following a period of failing health.
Born in Whitman, she resided in West Bridgewater for nearly 60 years.
She was an avid music lover, and sang for many years in local clubs and restaurants, including Christo's in Brockton and Bobby Hackett's in Pembroke.
She also worked for many years as a waitress at the 400 Club in Easton.
Wife of the late Robert L. Fischer, she is survived by a daughter, Sheila M. Tyrrell of Brockton; four sons, Wayne M. Dufault and Paul K. Dufault of Bridgewater, and Barry E. Dufault and Gary S. Dufault of West Bridgewater; a stepson, Robert L. Fischer Jr. of Melbourne, FL; a sister, Lorraine Blackwell of Phoenix, AZ; seven grand children, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service Wednesday at 10 am in the Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8 pm. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
