Dorothy L. (Curtis) Anthony 86 of Medway died May 5 in the Medway Country Manor. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Anthony who died in 2001.
Born in Yalesville, Connecticut, June 20, 1920 the daughter of the late Oscar and Adie (Huntoon) Curtis, Mrs. Anthony was raised in Wrentham and had lived in Medway since 1946.
Mrs. Anthony had been a school crossing guard in Medway for 38 years.
She was a member and past president of the Medway VFW Ladies Auxiliary and did much volunteer work for that organization.
She is survived by her son Edward A. Anthony of Spring Hill, Florida and her daughter Priscilla Smith of Medway.
She is also survived by her sister Vivian Stearns of Willimantic, Connecticut, 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday May 9 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com.) 3 Barber St. Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Village Street in Medway at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Medway.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8.
