LEICESTER-Claire E. (Wrightson) Kavonian, 78, formerly of 21 Brookside Drive died at the home of her daughter in Auburn on Friday, November 15th after an illness. Her first husband, Jack A. Tinnerholm died in 1966 and her second husband, John Kavonian died in 1981. She leaves a son, John S. Tinnerholm of Leicester; a daughter, Donna L. Kennedy of Auburn; a brother, James J. Wrightson, Jr. of Venice, FL; 3 sisters, Patricia Reardon and Eleanor Buss both of Worcester and Barbara Gibbons of Galesville, MD; 2 sister-in-law’s, Martha Kavonian and Nancy Sharoogian both of Milford; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of James J. and Thyra M. (Norberg) Wrightson and lived in South Dennis and Lynchburg, VA before returning to Leicester 8 years ago. She graduated from Commerce High School. She was a WWII Coast Guard veteran. Mrs. Kavonian worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Brewster Plastics in South Dennis and Lynchburg, VA and at Marane Oil Company in Worcester before retiring. She was a member of St Aloysius-St. Jude Church and the American Legion Post #205 in Rochdale. She enjoyed gardening and decorating.
The funeral will be Monday, November 18th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a mass at 10:00 AM in St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church, 487 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
