Obituary

Blanche R. Verrier, 87 of Aylsworth Ave. died Thursday in RI Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lucien A. Verrier. Mrs. Verrier was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Telesphore and Therese (Breault) Dagesse. Mrs. Verrier worked in the drawing department for the former French Worsted Co. for four years before retiring in 1965. She had also worked in several area Textile mills including the former Hanora Lippitt. She was a member of the St. Joseph and St. Louis Senior Citizens. Blanche loved her family, baking, especially her famous apple pie, and cleaning her home. She will always be remembered as being “unbelievable”.

She is survived by three daughters, Jeannine Corriveau and her husband Richard, Lorraine Blais and her husband Roger all of Woonsocket, and Gisele Leclaire and her husband Richard of Seekonk, MA. and eight grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Edgar, Gerard and Denise Dagesse.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham, MA. Visiting hours are Monday 4-8 pm.
