Claire (Barraco) Verderame, 68, of Bedford died May 3, 2007 at Catholic Medical Center after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.
Born in Tunis, Tunisia on July 16, 1938, she was the daughter of Antonio and Rosina (Scordia) Barraco. She lived most of her life in Westchester County, NY and had lived in the Manchester-Bedford area since 1991.
Mrs. Verderame worked as a pediatric nurse’s aide in New York for many years. She later worked as a banquet hostess at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Greenwich, CT for many years.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Jonathan C. Lloyd in 2001.
The family includes her husband of 50 years, John Verderame of Bedford; two children, Anthony A. Verderame of Bow and Rosalie C. Lloyd of Manchester; seven grandchildren and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday May 7, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
