Vincent J. Kenney Sr. of Dedham died May 2, 2007. He was 76. He was the beloved husband of Mary E. (DeLapa) Kenney for 53 years.
Mr. Kenney was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the son of the late Michael and Louise (Von Hatten) Kenney. He has been a Dedham resident for 53 years. Mr. Kenney was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Navy. He was a retired supervisor for Abbott Box of Avon and prior to that he worked for Allied Container of Dedham.
He was the devoted father of Linda Hadayia and her husband Harold of Dedham, Vincent J. Kenney Jr. of Dedham and David M. Kenney of Dedham. Grandfather of Thomas Hadayia and Michelle Holmquist. Great grandfather of Alexis Holmquist.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Saturday at 12:00 Noon. Funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 1:00 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-8 PM. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
