OBIT Colombe Ouellette
Goffstown-Colombe Ouellette, 108, holder of the Boston Post Cane in Goffstown since 1995, perhaps the oldest resident in NH died April 30, 2007 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home.
She was born in Suncook on March 27, 1899 the daughter of Napoleon and Josephine (Fontaine) Poulin. She attended school in Manchester where she resided most of her life before moving to Goffstown in 1986;
She was a seamstress by trade and later worked as a housekeeper at the Former St. Theresa Rectory. She also volunteered at Pine Haven Home for Boys in Allenstown.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph A. Ouellette in 1939.
IN HER LIFE:Members of her family include 4 daughters, Fernande Saindon of Punta Gorda, FL., Pauline Houle of Goffstown, Claire Jacob of Manchester, Sister Jacqueline (Blanche) Ouellette RBP of Montreal, PQ Canada. Two sons Gerard Ouellette and his wife Doris of Hooksett, Joseph Ouellette and his wife Dolores of Austin, TX.. 19 grandchildren, 38 greatgrandchildren, 24 greatgreatgrandchildren.
SERVICES:Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.,
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Belmont St.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Benefit of B2 Unit, 400 Mast Road, Goffstown, NH 03045.
